Volleyball tournament

This week you could really tell it was fall. All the leaves in our yard are starting to change color. It is getting colder outside and everybody is suddenly obsessed with pumpkins.

On Wednesday we had ASL lesson again. We went to eat at this typical american burger place. The food was really good. We learned how to sign family members and basic phrases such as hello, stop and thank you. I also learned how to spell my name in sign language.

Friday was senior night. It's the night where all the senior athletes are being acknowledged. There was a beautifull sunrise that night. The team sadly lost and after the game we went to mcdonalds with all the seniors.

When I woke up on Saturday I saw pheasants (fazanten) in our garden! Saturday was also the sub-state volleyball tournament in Silver lake. I went with Meghan and Caroline and her mom. We went to Pie five for lunch. It is kind of like subway where you can pick and choose what you want on your pizza. It was really fun to do, but the stress of choosing was real. The tournament started at 2 and went on to almost 7 o'clock. Our team 'Royal Valley' made it to the finals but didn't win sadly. They were really good and the played a fair game.

Today we are going to take family pictures with my hostfamily and their kids. We are going to try to have similair outfits. I'm curious to see how the pictures turn out. There is a lot going on next week so I have a lot to look forward too.
