Last week was all about the State Championship. On Monday we made posters for the first game. We also had a Tornado drill that day. On Tuesday their was a pep rally for the Varsity girls at the end of the day.
Wednesday we drove 2 and a half hours to Hutchinson to the game. The theme for this game waas white out and everyone wore their white state championship shirts. It was amazing watching the game and the student section was really hyped. We won our game which ment that we went on to Friday. Friday's theme was black with gold accessories. We won that game as well.
Saturday was the State-Championship game between Royal Valley and Cheney. It was a suspenceful game and we went into overtime at the end of the game. For the first time ever Royal Valley won the Championship. I am very proud of our basketball team.
After the game we drove straight to Colorado for springbreak. We stayed at an hotel and the next day we drove some more. On Sunday we went to church and after that we ate at this really cute restaurant called 'Adam's mountain cafe'. We walked through Manitou Springs that day and we looked at all the little shops. Manitou Springs has fountains all over the town where you can drink different kinds of spring water. Later that evening we went to 'Garden of the Gods'.
On Monday we went to Colorado Springs where we drove all the way up the mountain. The views were amazing and the air in Colorado feels so fresh.
That afternoon we visited the Glen Eyrie Castle. The outside of the castle and the land around it were really beautiful.
On Tuesday we went to a bridge that connected to mountains. We first walked over the bridge, but we took the gondala back. I was suprisingly not afraid of the big heights. After that we drove back home again.
On Wednesday we just had a chill day, but Thursday night we went to see a lacrosse game at Benedictine College.
Saturday was St. Patricks day. I went to the parade with my hostmom. Later that day we met up with the families cousins and we went to eat at Yuki´s. After that we went to an improve show called ´Freshman class´. I thought the show was hilarious and I really enjoyed the evening.
