Halloween!!

Started my week off drinking delicious coffee at my hostsisters aunts house. I was in dire need of a hair cut and her aunt was really kind and cut my hair for me that day. She is a profesional hairdresser.

Tuesday was the day we had some halloween preparations. We looked for a costume and we also did pumpkin carving. I made mine look like Jack from the movie 'A nightmare before christmas'.

Going to school on Wednesday was very fun. A lot of people had a costume on. There was also a middle school halloween performance where the kids sang halloween songs. The perfomance ended with the high school drum line perfoming a bunch of songs with glo in the dark sticks.

In the evening I met up with my old host family and we went trick or treating with all the kids. It was really cool to experience something like that even though older kids don't typically go trick or treating. It was nice seeing them again.

After they went home my friends picked me up to go to Topeka to visit another neighborhood. We drove around for a bit and met up with my host sisters cousin. We all went to a haunted house. The night was really fun, a little bit too fun actually. I hit my head in the haunted house and it didn't really hurt at that moment. But when I woke up the next morning it hurt a lot so I went to the school doctor and she told me I definitely had a concussion. So the rest of the week consisted of me doing nothing so I could give my head a rest. Caroline and I did make my hostfamily dinner on Thursday.

Saturday we went to a basketball game from a cousin of my hostfamily. In the evening there was a haunted trail in our school which a bunch of people from school helped set up. Sadly I couldn't stay the whole night, because of my concussion but everything looked very cool and a lot of people had scary make-up on. This morning we went to church and after that we went to my hostsisters dance perfomance. It was at a funraiser football game where the police officers and the firefighters of Topeka had a match against each other.
